Ushering the past into the present, welcome Saint Luis Rey Carenas Belicoso. This medium-bodied, Honduran-made release takes its name from the port of Havana, Cuba, where old world ships would dock for repairs and to load up cargo to bring back to the old world from the new. This port was called Puerto Carenas, carenas meaning ‘repair’ in Spanish. In celebration of the old and new worlds combining, Saint Luis Rey Carenas came to life. Sporting a Nicaraguan wrapper with a binder and long-filler tobaccos from Honduras, Saint Luis Rey Carenas features vibrant floral nuances along with hints of salt, herbs, and earth.
