The makers of Macanudo make the effort to grow their own Connecticut Shade wrappers in order to ensure they only use the most consistent and aromatic tobacco leaf for their cigars. The long fillers used in the Macanudo Café are aged twice, an old Cuban tradition, in order to produce only the smoothest and mild smoking experience.

The filler is a blend of select Piloto Cubano Dominican and Mexican tobaccos, and the binder is a Mexican San Andrean leaf, grown exclusively for Macanudo. Always well-constructed with no soft spots, smokers can count on a mild and extremely relaxing smoke. Macanudo Vintage 2006 utilizes an exemplary wrapp​er crop of Connecticut shade tobacco which was grown in 2006. Now, after years of proper aging, this gorgeous leaf is ready to take center stage.
