Fiat Lux Acumen

Made by Luciano & Ace Prime Cigars at Tabacalera Pichardo in Nicaragua, which is also the source for a number of Crowned Heads cigars. Fiat Lux is Latin for the biblical phrase, “Let there be light.” But Luciano adds that the reference is closer to the word “enlightened,” as in when you discover “the complexity of flavors” along with “the possibility of introspection” as you smoke. Sounds like heady stuff. Yet the Fiat Lux is far from heady in pleasure.

ACE Prime co-founder Luciano Meirelles rolled Fiat Lux with a dark, high-priming, ACE Prime estate grown Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. Estate grown Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Pueblo Nuevo, Jalapa and Ometepe complete the full-bodied recipe.

The inspiration from the brand’s name can also be seen in the names of the line’s four sizes, all of which come in boxes of 20 cigars. They are Insight, Intuition, Genius, and Acumen. Best suited for cigar smokers with a fair amount of experience, this is one line of cigars you may actually want to savor during a more solitary and uninterrupted session to fully appreciate its complexity.
